Bryson Tarbet is an instructional coach and elementary music specialist in Columbus, Ohio. He received his Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education from Ohio Wesleyan University and his Master's of Music in Music Education degree with a Kodály emphasis from Capital University.
As a passionate music educator, Bryson understands the challenges that come with teaching elementary music. During his first year of teaching, he noticed a significant gap between what is taught in undergrad and the reality of teaching elementary music.
Bryson founded the Elementary Music Summit® because he saw a lack of content-specific professional development for elementary music teachers. As a former public school music teacher, he knows that being an elementary music teacher can sometimes feel isolating, like being on "music teacher island."
That's why he created this free online event - to bring together a community of like-minded educators who share a common goal of enriching the lives of their students through music.
