If you've been thinking about creating a more inclusive classroom, the time really is now!
Watch this short video to learn why:

Even if you don't have the first clue about where to start...
Diving in and taking action is the best way to break down barriers your students face when accessing the curriculum in your classroom.
There are 3 crucial steps that need to happen before you can finally feel like your lessons ensure that all students can excel in the music classroom.

1. Gather information & reflect on current pedagogical practices.

2. Identify & remove barriers (even the ones that are hard to notice).

3. Apply a differentiation framework so you know exactly what the next step is in the process.
Taking a moment to stop and identify the barriers currently hindering your students can make all the difference in creating a classroom where all students can be musical:
Getting this right and then taking steps to remove each barrier can be the difference between a student just attending music class and a student being able to fully participate and learn in your classroom.
It's also why so many music teachers get stuck and never move forward to creating a fully-inclusive classroom experience. This challenge will help you take the first step towards ensuring that all students are able to fully experience a high-quality music education..

Meet Your Host
Hey! I’m Bryson!
I’m an instructional coach and elementary music specialist based in Columbus, Ohio. My journey in music education began with a Bachelor’s of Music from Ohio Wesleyan University, followed by a Master's of Music in Music Education with a Kodály emphasis from Capital University.
Through my years of teaching, I've come to intimately understand the unique challenges faced by elementary music educators. It became evident to me early on that there was a significant disparity between the theoretical knowledge acquired in university and the practical demands of the classroom.
I spent my first year out of undergrad as an educational assistant supporting students with various disabilities. This experience, in addition to my own experience as a neurodivergent individual, led me to diving deep into the research on inclusion and differentiation.
Over my career I’ve been taking steps towards increasing equity and removing the barriers I’ve noticed holding my students back.
